We cordially invite you & your families to participate in a gift of Sponsorship (ubhayam) by joining the special Sankalpam on any day of Brahmotsavam.
Sponsorship: Sponsored families will receive special blessings & prasadam (Sambhavana) that include Gold(plated)/Silver(plated)/Copper medallion with the image of the Lord Sri Balaji on one side and Sri Mahalakshmi on the other side with special inscriptions. These Medallions are exclusively made for Brahmotsavam by reputed jeweler in India. They’re approx 5cm diameter, 3.5mm thick, blessed at Brahmotsavam Homam and handed over to you on a day of your choice. You may gift this to your children, who will cherish it for years to come, as a commemoration of this great event at their temple, thus reinforcing the spiritual connections to temple in their long life. You and your family will also be bestowed this Honour of Sankalpam on a day of your choice at Brahmotsavam.
What is Sankalpam? Sankalpam is the auspicious beginning of the Pooja of the day. While the Priests chant the Sankalpa Mantra, it connects the cosmic cycle to the present moment to the sponsor family being blessed. It is divine privilege & show of respect for you & the family. The sponsor families will take part in the Sankalpam, at the start of poojas (7am-8am) on your nominated day of Brahmotsavam. They can participate in all the poojas and after Aarthi, receive Prasadam (Blessings) including the Plate with Medallion and various gifts from the Priests (see Guidelines for timings).
What can you sponsor? Our Temple has created no. of options for your ubhayam (sponsorship):
1) Entire Day’s Pooja at Brahmotsavam Festival (9th Oct-18th Oct, 2010)
2) New Temple Chariot, built in India, that’ll be pulled during Brahmotsavam on Sunday 17th Oct.
3) Any Vahanam. Lord is taken on processions on these highly decorated Vahanams around the temple.
4) Yagasala Homam each day..holy fire rituals that purify.
5) Lord’s Vastiram each day..special silk dressing adorns the Lord & other deities.
6) Alankaram each day…various decorations, jewelry, garlands etc. for the Lord and other deities.
7) a Priest..support the Priests, especially those coming from India for the Brahmotsavam.
8) Annadhanam..providing free meals to thousands each day at the temple.
9) Support the Nadaswaram Party..the musicians coming to Brahmotsavam.
10) Traditional ornamented Teak Doors for the Temple Entrance, a work of art.
Sponsorship Categories:
Major Ubhayams (Sponsorships) are available in 3 categories:
1. Gold Sponsors receive Gold (plated) Medallion: $5001
2. Silver Sponsors receive Silver (plated) Medallion: $3001
3. Copper Sponsors receive Copper Medallion: $1001
Minor Ubhayams (Sponsorships) are also available in 3 categories. You may offer $501, $301 or $101 towards Abhishekam, Thirumanjanam, Yagasala Pooja, Priest’s Vastirams, Souvenirs etc. Such sponsor families will also take part in Sankalpam and respected. Above Medallions are not given for this category sponsor, but the same special plate of Prasadams & gifts are offered as Sambavana.
