The Government of New South Wales has decided to relax certain restrictions imposed on movement of people effective from 15 May 2020. One of them is to allow a maximum of ten worshippers to attend a place of worship at one time.
Because of the number permitted is insignificant in relation to our temple, and any implementation of the requirement would cause inconvenience to the worshippers as well as to the administration, the Board of Management has decided to continue with the closure of the temple for the time being, until such time the Government lifts the number to at least one hundred worshippers at a time.
We are aware that many of you would be eager to visit the Temple and offer your prayers and receive Lords’ Dharshan in person. We fully understand your wishes, but one has to be practical in enforcing the rules. For that reason only we have arranged on line booking for Archanas and other poojas / rituals, which are being performed in absentia, to satisfy your vows, wishes, dedication and devotion.
Hence, the Management is adopting a cautious approach with regard to re-opening of the Temple. We would keep you informed as we progress in line with Government regulations and directives.
Your understanding and co-operation in this regard is much appreciated.
