The NSW Department of Health has issued fresh rules that relaxes the COVID-19 restrictions effective from 15 December 2021 in NSW.

The relevant rules applicable to a place of worship have changed, including

  • density limits no longer apply;

  • proof of vaccination is not required at many venues;

  • QR check-in is now required at certain venues; and

  • face masks no longer need to be worn at the temple premises (outdoor settings) but will be required for indoor settings.

These recommendations are being adopted and implemented at SVT Helensburgh in the interest of the General public and everyone’s well-being.

Rules which have been withdrawn

Density Limits

Will not apply to a place of worship. Therefore, there will not be any restriction as to the numbers who can be at the temple premises at any given time.

Vaccination evidence

Most premises in NSW are now open to everyone, regardless of whether you are fully vaccinated or not. You no longer need to show evidence that you are fully vaccinated at most premises including a place of worship. The Management will not request for proof of vaccination from those who visit the Temple.

Rules which will remain in place and should be adhered to

COVID-19 Safe Check-in

COVID-19 Safe QR check-ins are only required at certain venues. A place of public worship is one of them. Therefore, devotees are required to QR check when entering the temple.

Face Masks

  • Face masks are no longer needed to be worn at the temple premises (outdoor settings).

  • However, masks are strongly encouraged and must be worn inside the Temple where you cannot socially distance.

The Management requests the cooperation of every devotee / visitor to the Temple and anticipates everyone’s adherence.
