RAHU / KETHU PEYARCHI 2020

RAHU / KETHU PEYARCHI – 2020

(Tuesday 1st September 2020)

Astronomically. Rahu and Kethu denote the points of intersection of the paths of the Sun and the Moon as they move on the celestial sphere. Therefore, Rahu and Kethu are respectively called the north and south lunar nodes. The fact that eclipses occur when the Sun and Moon are at one of these points gives rise to the understanding of swallowing of the Sun and the Moon by the snake. Rahu is responsible for causing the Solar Eclipse and Kethu is responsible for causing the Lunar Eclipse.

On this 1st September, Lord Rahu is moving to Rishaba Rasi and Lord Kethu is moving to Vrichika Rasi, respectively.

At SVT, vedic prohits will perform special yagnas and abhishekam for Lord Ragu and Lord Kethu (NavaGrahas), to invoke their blessings for a prosperous and peaceful life.
